Testimonials

Since LeadershipNOW! launched in 2020, we’ve had several successful cohorts complete the programme. We’ve had incredible feedback about the programme itself, but more importantly the lasting impact on participants and what they’ve achieved as leaders in the housing sector.

Hear about the experience and impact of the programme from some of our alumni:

Jade Paul – Clarion

Yare Jegbefume – Tower Hamlets Homes

Tanaka Rita Mombe – MTVH

Natalie Chambers – Nottinghill Genesis

Tosin Durojaiye – Castle Vale Community Housing

Nathalia Bent –  Network Homes

Cameron Anterkyi – Network Homes

“I think it’s really important that you take charge of your learning and development – no learning is wasted – and as a black woman coming up in Peabody taking opportunities is something I’ve always tried to do and something I’d always encourage someone to do.

A colleague of mine used to say your network is your net worth and it’s really true.  The more people you can relate to, connect with, learn from, and share with the more likely you are to progress through your career.

I really hope that if you’re considering this programme, you go ahead and apply.  I found it really enjoyable and I’m sure you will too.”

“Following my promotion last year, I was determined to continue to grow in my sector and excel in the work I do. The Leadership NOW! Programme helped me think about historic and present challenges. By looking through a psychodynamic lens, it helped me to understand myself better. I feel much more confident in working towards senior management and would highly recommend this course to colleagues that want to step up.”

“The programme started with a career evaluation discussion which was very enlightening, as was the leadership profiling development session with a work psychologist.  These two sessions really helped me to understand my career goal and what I wanted.

The guys delivering the sessions are complete experts and shared some wonderful insights.  I also found that, alongside the executive and coaching sessions, that the workshops on leading yourself and leading others were absolutely brilliant.

One of the most enjoyable aspects for me were the group sessions and learning from others from a similar background to myself.

If you are considering the programme, I would highly recommend it and I hope you get out of it as much as I have.”

“The coaching sessions were the highlight of the programme for me. In each of the sessions I’ve felt supported, informed, valued and heard. They helped me address and understand things about myself that I hadn’t properly acknowledged, and this felt like an emotional break through of sorts for me, as well as giving me invaluable tools that I intend to immediately use to positively change my current situation.

Overall I feel very lucky to have been a part of this programme and afforded the opportunity to speak to those who delivered the programme who helped me in ways I didn’t know I needed. I am more aware of my leadership capabilities than I’ve ever been before, and that feels really amazing. My warmest thank you goes to everyone whose played a role for their time, effort and commitment to making this a brilliant programme.”
